Coda Automotive Electric Cars

Coda Automotive is a privately held electric car company based out of Santa Monica, California. Rather than going through the inital costs of developing an electric car from scratch Coda has partnered with Chinese manufacturer Hafei to import the Hafei Saibao 3 sedan and sell it as the Coda Sedan in the US. It is a highway capable electric vehicle and the prototype was debuted on June 3, 2009.

Coda has battery partnerships with Lishen in China and Yardney Technical Products of Connecticut to manufacture their lithium-ion battery pack. Coda plans to deliver approximately 2000 electric cars in 2010.

Coda Sedan

Built in China as the Hafei Saibao 3 and imported to the US under the Coda Automotive badge, the Coda Sedan will be a fully highway capable electric car.
